Hello and welcome to Big Belly Breathing. Bienvenue to health, rest, and relaxation. My name is Vanessa Hutchinson-Zecheli and I am so happy to guide you on this peaceful journey to help you relax and get ready for a wonderful night's sleep. Tonight, we're taking a magical trip to Rio de Janeiro. de Janeiro, Brazil, with a focus on exploration. Our breathing practice is called Twinkle Toes. It helps you connect to your body and feel light and ready for nighttime adventures. Start by lying down comfortably as you breathe in, Gently scrunch and wiggle your toes like they're twinkling stars. As you breathe out, relax your feet completely and let all the energy from the day drift away. Each little twinkle in your toes is like saying, I am ready to to explore the world, calm, curious, and open. So get cozy in your bed, snuggle in, wiggle around until everything feels just right. Let your arms and legs feel heavy and relaxed. Keep your eyes closed And feel how soft and safe your bed is, like a floating cloud ready to carry you into your imagination. All right, let's start with some more twinkle toes breathing. Breathe in. Scratch and twinkle those toes. Breathe out. Let them melt into stillness. Do this a few more times, letting your body settle and your mind get curious about what's ahead. Now, imagine we're taking a magical nighttime journey to the lively, colorful city of Rio de Janeiro. It's a place of sunshine, rhythm, beaches, and mountains. But tonight, it's a quiet and glowing city under the stars, ready for you to explore. You begin in a very peaceful garden at Parque Lage, where tall palm trees stretch into the moonlight and vines curl along old stone arches. The air is Smells like fresh leaves and flowers. And somewhere in the distance, you hear waves whispering to the shore. Suddenly, from the branches above, a brilliant toucan swoops down, its colorful beak glowing like a jewel in the moonlight. Toucans. are playful explorers, always curious and full of wonder. It hops beside you, looks into your eyes, and with a small flap of its wings, invites you to follow. Together, you start your night adventure. You walk softly along jungle paths in Tihuca Forest, one of the world's largest urban rainforests. The leaves rustle gently as you pass by. Fireflies blink like tiny lanterns guiding your way. Each step is quiet and light, just like your twinkling toes. Inhale. Twinkle. Exhale. Relax. The toucan flies ahead, leading you to a high hill with a breathtaking view. There stands the Christ, the Redeemer statue, very, very tall and very peaceful, arms wide open over the sleeping city. From here, The lights of Rio shimmer below like stars scattered across the earth. You and the toucan rest for a moment, soaking in the wonder of this world. This is what exploration feels like. Safe, curious, and full of magic. Next, the tucan guides you to the quiet sands of Ipanema Beach, silver and smooth in the moonlight. You walk along the shore, letting your feet feel the cool sand, your toes twinkling gently with each step. Breathe in, twinkle. Breathe out, relax. The waves roll in and out like a lullaby. And the sky above is full of stars. You take one last very deep breath with your tucan friend. Inhale. Twinkle your toes and feel excitement for all the places you've explored. Exhale. Let your body relax into peace, knowing that even in dreams, you're free to wonder. It's time to say goodnight to the tucan. It looks at you kindly as if to say, adventure is always inside you. Then it flutters back into the trees, leaving you calm, cozy, and ready to drift into your own dreamland. Feel your bed beneath you, soft, warm, peaceful. Your breathing slows. Your toes rest. You are calm, curious. You are ready to dream. Sweet dreams explore. Good night. Bonne nuit.
