Big Belly Breathing (BBB) is a bilingual audio program for kids (and the grownups who love them), founded by Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely. Hello there, bonjour, and welcome to Big Belly Breathing. Bienvenue to health. My name is Vanessa Hutchinson-Zakely, and I am so happy to guide you on this month's audio journey, a new adventure where we'll explore the world with mindfulness and our special breathing technique. This month's theme is is exploration and our breathing practice is called twinkle toes. To begin, sit or stand comfortably and focus your attention on your feet. With each breath in, imagine energy sparkling in your toes like tiny twinkling stars waking up. Go ahead, try it. Breathe in. And think of your sparkling little toes. As you breathe out, feel that sparkling sensation move gently through your body. Inhale. Twinkle your toes. Exhale. The sparkle spreads through your legs up to your heart. Let your breath awaken curiosity and calm as we get ready to explore a new place. Today, we're heading to Seoul, South Korea, a city full of ancient history, futuristic design, bustling markets, quiet temples, and some of the best food in the world. Let's explore it with open minds and and twinkling toes. Close your eyes. Take a long, deep breath and feel your body begin to settle. With your next inhale, imagine yourself gently arriving in the heart of soul. Ready for discovery. We begin at Gyeongbokgung Palace, where history comes alive. The royal guards stand tall in colorful, traditional dress, and the curved rooftops of the palace seem to whisper stories from long ago. As you breathe in, feel the respect and wisdom of the past. As you breathe out, let curiosity guide your heart forward. Your toes twinkle with each step, honoring tradition as you explore. Continue to breathe. Very good. Next, we move to the tranquil Bukchon Hanok village, where old wooden houses line the narrow paths. You walk slowly, hearing the quiet creak of doors and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. With each twinkletoes breath, you feel calm and centered, exploring gently, noticing everything. A bird on a rooftop, the scent of pinewood, the sun warming the stone walls. We now hop on the subway and pop up in Hongdae, a vibrant, youthful neighborhood full of music, dance, art, and surprises. Street performers play joyful tunes, murals burst with color, and creativity flows all around you. Inhale the energy. Exhale your own playful spark. Your toes twinkle as you skip, dance, and giggle through the rhythm of the city. Let's pause now at the Cheong Gai Cheon stream, a peaceful path running through downtown. You hear the soft rush of water, See bridges lit up above and feel the cool air all around you. You breathe in calm. You breathe out joy. Your toes move slowly now like stars gliding through the stream and you feel refreshed, And alive. From here, we float up. Yes, float to the top of Namsan Seoul Tower. As you look out over the city, twinkling lights stretch far into the distance, like a magical galaxy of dreams. Each breath brings a new wonder. Inhale, discovery. Exhale, gratitude. Your feet tingle with excitement and possibility. Our final stop is a quiet corner of Bangunsa Temple, nestled among tall buildings. The temple bells chime softly. and the great scent of incense fills the air. You sit on a cushion and breathe slowly, twinkle toes grounding you in the moment. You feel a connection to yourself and to this place of peace and presence. As we complete our journey through soul, take one final twinkle toes breath. Inhale the energy of exploration. Exhale any tension or stress. Wiggle your toes gently and smile, knowing that each step you take wherever you are can be full of wonder. When you're ready, open your eyes and bring the spirit of adventure back with you. Remember, you can return to this visualization and your twinkle toes breath anytime you feel stuck, restless, or curious for something new. You are brave. You are present.
